YTA Fundraising Events

Youth Tennis Advantage hosts three fun, unique events annually for donors to participate in.

The Big Hitters

2023 Big Hitters is complete!

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the 2023 Big Hitters event both on and off the court. The rain was coming down that day everywhere around the Bay EXCEPT the Berkeley Tennis Club, incredible!

A special shout out to Chase bank for sponsoring the Big Hitters again this year, the incredible Cal Men's and Women's tennis teams plus their coaches for volunteering their day, and to the amazing folks at the Berkeley Tennis Club for hosting us this year – an iconic location, we were honored to be able to have our event there!

Our event sold out in record time this year -- mark your calendars for Big Hitters 2024, the first Saturday of December -- December 7, 2024.

For the Kids Dinner

For the Kids Dinner

Traditionally held in the Fall

2021 You're "Un-Vited!"  -- For the Kids fUNdraiser running October, 2021

Our annual dinner is the biggest fundraiser of the year, generating more than 50% of our operating budget. 2021 marks the 28th annual For the Kids Dinner. Part of the tradition at this event is to honor someone with our Arthur Ashe Award of Excellence. Arthur Ashe founded the National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) more than 50 years ago, and helped YTA as a part of that organization. He personally helped YTA for 12 years, and we continue to be inspired by his accomplishments daily. Each year we present the Arthur Ashe Award of Excellence to an extraordinary member of our community.

2021: We made an early decision to not host an in-person event because we felt it was more important this year than ever to put our available resources back into the program. We also realize you are inundated with online activities so we wanted to make this fun. We appreciate all you have done for Youth Tennis Advantage and are thanking you with a night off from online events-- but we still need your support! Please be generous. Our students need our help to give them a level playing field.

Due to the pandemic in 2020, our one night gala became a seven week online event entitled Stories of Love, with exciting videos featuring sports icons like Steve Kerr, James Blake and Frances Tiafoe! Watch the videos to see what they and our kids had to say about YTA!
